About the hunting area

The hunting area, which is around 3000 ha (hectare/acre), takes up at the Southern foot of Vértes, between Csákvár and Vértesbogár. The varied terrain, the steep sides and walleys of the mountain, and the agricultural parts of the area in the nearby are excellent living place for the gamespecies as well.

It is typical of the water managment of the area, that the Császár-víz stream spring from the boundary of Csákvár, which flows tot he direction of Velencei tó and nourish a 4 hectare/acre big lake in the heart of the area in the same time. The reeds at the lake is one of the favourite habitat of wild animals, here the 40-50 membered pack of red stags and high numbered sounder of wildpigs couldn't be rear spectacle.

The Hunting Group has been utilizing this area and wildlife there since 1997. It is typical of the area, that every big game species can be found in our forests, except the fallow deer. The main gamespecies are red stag and wild boar, which are the most harvested animals during a hunting season, however roe deer and mufflon aren't negliable, because 80 cm long horned mufflons can be found in this area as well.
